About Us

Woodstock Vintage Lumber was founded in Nashville, TN in the spring of 1996, when Brent Coursey left the restaurant industry to follow his true passion: restoration (trucks, buildings, machinery… you name it).

Brent developed a specific fascination with antique lumber while restoring homes in the 1990s. The history and unique character of first-growth lumber held both beauty and opportunity.

With this vision, Woodstock Vintage Lumber was created.

Woodstock began reclaiming lumber from barns, abandoned warehouses and buildings all over Tennessee (including the purchase of 600 historic beams from Nashville’s demolition-bound Union Train Shed in 2001). The shop became known in Music City over the next decade not only for their extensive knowledge of reclaimed material, but for their expertise crafting wide-plank flooring, decorative beams, accent wall, furniture and more. 

Now located in a new shop on the outskirts of Nashville, Woodstock continues to meet the reclaimed wood needs of builders, interior designers, contractors and homeowners all over the region.

After serving as head builder and honing his craft as Woodstock’s head builder for 13 years, the shop is now led by Elias Reyes and remains a family-run business.

In addition to homes all over the country, the team’s work can be seen in dozens of downtown Nashville hotels including The Bobby, The Cambria and The 505, and countless local establishments like the Nashville Sounds Stadium, the Nashville Zoo, Lockeland Table, Burger Up and more.

HOW IT WORKS:

We can fill any size order: from a few pieces of barn wood for your latest project, to a full order of custom-milled tongue and groove flooring.

Set up an appointment with us to purchase raw material straight off of our yard. Give us a heads up of what you are looking for (for example: material for some shelves, 1” poplar, or weathered grey 2” x 4” material, etc.) and we’ll pull some available options for you.
